The Tiny Dream Shop creates tiny keepsakes that fit in the palm of your hand. Creative paintings, angel babies in tiny bottles, and butterflies to dangle from your rearview mirror in your car. All the creations are unique and beautiful.

If you are like me, you probably associate a particular animal with your baby’s memory. My fiance and I used to call Kaden our “little monkey” before we chose his name. His whole nursery was going to be in jungle theme.

ZooZ Jewelry makes sterling silver jewelry in the shape of the cutest animals you’ve ever seen! You can even kindly ask Claire if she can put wings on your animal (it may take a little longer for you to get your piece if she doesn’t already have the cast).

The other day I posted about making a memorial garden in memory of your baby (here). You may have daydreamed about it. What it would look like. What kind of color butterflies would visit. Or even how you would decorate it. So I wanted to tell you about Treasure Beans Pebbleworks.

I wanted to let all of you know about two special websites I’ve found.

First, the picture to the left is a Blaire Bear. Blaire Bears are hand made, personalized bears that are able to fit an urn inside. Sky says on her Facebook page:

“My daughter Blaire was born April 6th 2010. She was an amazing gift and she provided our family with love and joy from the moment she was in our arms.

She was tragically taken from us on March 9th 2011- four weeks shy of her first birthday.

We were absolutely shattered by the loss of our breath-taking daughter.

After the pain of organising a funeral instead of a first birthday party, we were anxious to have our little girl back in our home. When we were finally able to pick her up, we had to face the harsh reality of receiving an urn.

I could barely bring myself to look at the urn, and yet I couldn’t bare to be away from it. I tried to cuddle the urn, and I took it everywhere with me.

I wanted so badly to hold my baby girl close to my heart, but the cold porcelain against my skin only reminded me of the vast distance between Blaire and I.

I told my family that I would dress the urn up in costumes, and take it with us to all our special family occasions. They all understood and agreed- Blaire still needs to be included.

Our first family outing was only a few days after Blaire’s funeral. We took Blaire to the Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the zoo. We had planned a teddy bear’s picnic for Blaire’s first birthday, and I was determined she still got it. So for the day, we bought a teddy bear and removed the stuffing so we could fit Blaire inside. 

As soon as Blaire was inside the teddy bear I felt more comfortable. It’s far less confronting to look at a sweet teddy face than an urn, I could ‘dress’ her, I could take her with me without receiving strange (or sympathetic) looks from strangers, and best of all- I could cuddle her again!

This is when I realised that other parents may like the opportunity to have a specially made teddy bear for their child’s urn.
These bears had to be one of a kind, just like the child they represented.

And so… Blaire Bears was created.”

But, if you are like me, your baby may have been to small to have ashes. Or perhaps, for some reason, you were not given the option. I know that when I went into the ER I brought with me the tissue that I had passed in a container (like I had been instructed to do). Without knowing it, I had put my sac with my baby into that container. I did not know this until much later and was never told. I didn’t get to say goodbye.

You could stuff your Blaire Bear with keepsakes of clothes if you have any. Or you can go to My Tangible Peace. The talented woman who runs this Etsy shop hand makes one of a kind, anatomically correct fetuses (right picture). I will be purchasing a 9 week old sculpture and keeping it inside my Blaire Bear.

The Midnight Orange was born out of grief and sadness. D. Antonia Trusedale is an amazingly talented artist with a big heart. Her work is unique and personal and sure to touch something deep inside everyone who views her work. Butterfly and angel babies, lovers, hearts, and cocoons make up just a small portion of her shop. I have one of her butterfly baby necklaces and it is so special to me.
